Baking Good Ideas

Here’s an inspiring  story about a bakery run by volunteers who are now a Community Land Trust exploring training, employment and how to make great pies!

Ever wondered what Dryslwyn will look like in the year 2060? We tried this exercise as part of our visioning of the future.   Local residents are invited to public meetings to discuss and draw up plans for the towns and cities where they live. They begin by discussing issues from the perspective of a current resident. They are then given ceremonial yellow robes to wear and told to imagine themselves as residents from 2060.

CCC Net Zero Carbon Local Authority.pdf

The Welsh Government has committed to achieving a carbon neutral public sector by 2030 and to coordinating action to help other areas of the economy to make a decisive shift away from fossil fuels. Last month, it published Prosperity for All: A Low Carbon Wales, which sets out 100 policies and proposals to meet the 2020 carbon emissions targets.
