EXCITING NEWS

We now have a model of the proposed new shop site and building layout. So please call in the shop to get another but different  impression of the designs and how they compare. This might help you in forming your feedback.

I also want to use this moment to remind you that the design feedback deadline is the 2nd of January. 

Therefore if you have any comments or suggestions to improve or change the design drawings presented now is the time to do that. 

Feedback forms can be accessed off our website https://www.siopnewydd.com/home_1/planning-and-building-design or at the shop itself.  

The more comments received the better so please don’t hold back “tell us what you think” before it’s too late!

From Monday the 13th December until Sunday the 2nd January we are inviting feed back from the community on design and layout plans and drawings prepared for us by Huw Griffiths Architects (HGA) of Swansea.  

Feedback forms are prepared and will be available with the plans and drawings for inspection via 3 venues/media. These are:- 

1. Drawings will from Monday 13th December be found in folders under the tent outside the shop with feedback forms to be taken away and returned or just completed on site.  

2. On line on the SiopNEWydd project website using the following link https://www.siopnewydd.com/home_1/planning-and-building-design.  Plans can be viewed and forms submitted directly on line from this site or printed off and left at the shop.  

3. Rosie Plummer and myself as Project Lead and Chair will be hosting a Covid compliant event at the Reading Room in Cwrt Henri next Friday 17th December between 2-4pm. Please note that numbers able to view will be restricted at any one time. To safeguard everyone, all attending will be expected to wear masks in the Reading Room and entrants will need to show a valid Covid pass or negative lateral flow result taken within 48 hours of the event to gain entry. Plans will be on display and queries answered by us both. Forms again available to fill in or take away and return to the shop. Those attending will also be asked to provide their contact details for test and trace purposes only. 

It cannot be understated how important this period is for feedback, comment and constructive criticism. A formal planning application will be submitted early in 2022 based on this feedback so please don’t be shy, let’s hear what you genuinely think, be that complementary or critically of what’s presented. 

Please note that the closing date to receive your feedback is the 2nd January 2022.
